Insulating Glass

Insulating glass, also known as double-paned or triple-paned glass, is a type of glazing that is commonly used in residential and commercial buildings. The purpose of insulating glass is to improve the energy efficiency of a building by reducing heat transfer through the windows.

Insulating glass consists of two or more panes of glass that are separated by a spacer, which is a material that acts as a barrier to prevent air flow. The spacer is usually made of aluminum or a composite material and is filled with a gas, such as argon, which enhances the insulation properties of the glass.

Insul-Lite makes consistent, high-quality sealed units. Please see below for more details on our offering:

Low-E Coatings

Low-E coatings are near-microscopic layers of metal oxide deposited directly onto your glass to help control thermal transfer into, and out of your building. We carry Low-E from Cardinal, Vitro, and Guardian. If we don’t have what you’re after please let us know and we will find it!
