Insulating Glass

Insulating glass, also known as double-paned or triple-paned glass, is a type of glazing that is commonly used in residential and commercial buildings. The purpose of insulating glass is to improve the energy efficiency of a building by reducing heat transfer through the windows.

Insulating glass consists of two or more panes of glass that are separated by a spacer, which is a material that acts as a barrier to prevent air flow. The spacer is usually made of aluminum or a composite material and is filled with a gas, such as argon, which enhances the insulation properties of the glass.

Insul-Lite makes consistent, high-quality sealed units. Please see below for more details on our offering:

Low-E Coatings

Low-E coatings are near-microscopic layers of metal oxide deposited directly onto your glass to help control thermal transfer into, and out of your building. We carry Low-E from Cardinal, Vitro, and Guardian. If we don’t have what you’re after please let us know and we will find it!

Spacer Bars

Glass spacer bars are typically made of materials like aluminum, plastic, or stainless steel and come in various shapes, sizes, and colors to suit different architectural styles. They are an important component in ensuring the long-term performance and durability of insulated glass windows.
